Google explains how to combine measurements to understand advertising

In an episode of Ads Decoded, Google discusses how to combine attribution, testing and modelling to evaluate advertising. The post is an explanation about measurement, not the launch of a single solution that automatically resolves every advertiser's decisions.
For an SME, the first question can be simple: which useful contacts came in and what happened to them? A visits report helps you get your bearings, but on its own it doesn't tell you how much commercial value the campaign produced or how the team handled each enquiry.
It's also worth recognising limits. Someone may see an offer, compare options and get in touch later through another channel. That's why a number on the dashboard shouldn't be confused with a full explanation of every customer's buying decision.
Our take: measurement should help the business decide. Starting with verified contacts and an understandable sales record can be more useful than piling up reports nobody interprets. Advanced tools are worth evaluating when there's data and a question that justifies using them.
