Demand Gen announces more direct journeys on YouTube and Gmail
Google announced Demand Gen updates related to product conversations, access to landing pages and presence on Maps for certain advertisers. The details depend on the format and its requirements; not every feature applies to a local service business.
A shorter journey can make it easier for someone to visit an offer. But the page needs to continue the ad's message and show an understandable next step. Saving one click doesn't fix a confusing offer or, on its own, improve the follow-up.
Conversational experiences also need suitable information about what's on offer. A business should check how its services are presented and what limits the tool has. The vendor's examples are no substitute for a test on the client's own account and content.
Our take: these updates deserve case-by-case evaluation. The priority may still be a clear landing page and a working contact point. When the format suits the audience and the budget, it's tested with a concrete goal and follow-up of the enquiries.
